THE WINERY: Beresan Winery is located
about four miles south of Walla Walla, WA.
APPELLATION: Walla Walla Valley
BUILDING HISTORY: Originally built in
1926 as a two story barn to house the horses and dairy cows used on
the farm. The barn was part of the Thomas Homestead, and locals still
talk about their fathers and grandfathers breaking their horses at
the Thomas Homestead barn. It was remodeled in 2003 to accommodate
the Beresan Winery while still maintaining the original structure
and historic character.
FRUIT SOURCES: All the fruit for our
wines comes from our three vineyards: our Estate Vineyard, Waliser
Vineyard and Yellow Jacket Vineyard. Some fruit has also been used
from Pepper Bridge and Candy Mountain, which are managed or farmed
by Beresan's owner, Tom Waliser.
VARIETals: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot,
Syrah, Sémillon, Cabernet Franc, and Malbec. |
